It goes without saying that if we truly love God we will love people. John the Apostle put it this way, “If we see someone in need and do not respond to that, how can we say the love of God dwells in us?” (my paraphrase) The needs in our world are huge.
Each year we focus on our call to the mission fields of the world. We seek to raise the sights of the church to be mission minded by thinking, living and giving beyond ourselves.
W During the months of November and December we are challenging you to be a world Christian, taking on the attitude and mindset of loving the people of the world as Christ did.
One way we truly love is by giving. This fiscal year we must raise $115,000. We have already raised $15,000 for Steve and Grace for Zimbabwe. Now in order to deal with fields like Thailand, other international travel from here and mission work we do locally, we need to raise another $50,000 cash over the next few weeks and then $50,000 for the remaining part of 2008.
One time cash gifts and many (even modest) monthly gifts can make this happen as we all listen to the voice of God and act. “With God all things are possible”. Please stand with us in faith for this to be accomplished.
