Dada-Father
By T.A.Osiowy
Some of the earliest words that come from the mouths of babes are dada. Well do most fathers recall those first words! This is not just an ordinary word. This word from the mouth of a child speaks connection, identity, honour, endearment and relationship. To hear that name from your offspring is more than music to the ears.
Paul speaking of son-ship to the Galatian believers, tells how God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, whereby “we cry abba/father.” Nothing thrills our heavenly Father more than when we for the first time say “daddy.” When we recognize who He is and who we are in relationship to Him we are on the road to becoming all we can be. It is at this place that our true identity is established. When our true identity is established there is hope for His likeness to be in us.
Nothing can be greater than being a son of God. Being connected with the all wise, all knowing, all loving Creator is a high privilege, and nothing thrills the heart of our Father in heaven more than when we acknowledge Him as our Father. Those words forever come from our lips. We sing and we pray as long as we live "Our Father"-" Daddy" and He is as thrilled as we are when our children say those words.
Regardless of how young or old we are, we will honour our earthly fathers by saying dad, daddy, father, or papa and we will say the same of and to our Father which is in heaven, in us and everywhere.
