God put it in the heart of Jesus to build. When Jesus is in us we also want to be builders. We want to build people up, not tear them down. We desire to construct not destruct. We are into construction, not destruction in our world. The devil is a destroyer, we are not.
I am intrigued with how cities are built over time. The genius that is needed to make it happen is mind boggling. The unity of mind and heart it takes is something else. I am challenged by that to build the city of God, which in biblical terms is the church. Great people are engaged in building their homes, their lives, the lives of others, cities, nations and churches. Great people are industrious and hard working. They are motivated to build. They build orphanages, hospitals, churches and businesses for greater purposes. I recently read an article in Christianity Today that spoke of “The Mission of Business” which is more than making money, but using those resources to build the Kingdom of God. It’s about building!!
Bottom line…..let’s focus on building wherever we can!! Build your family…build your workplace…build the church…build the community…build the Kingdom!!
